Which personal information we collect
The information we collect is mainly supplied by you to us namely when you open an account, link your account to any of your social media accounts, place a purchase order, provide feedback to us or join one of our mailing lists.
The information we collect depends on your interaction with us and the services you use. We may collect your contact information and email address, demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests, other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers, purchase history and method of payment and delivery.
When you browse on our Website, we receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address which provides us with information about your browser and operating system.
Why we collect your information
We collect your information to understand your needs and deliver to you our products and services, complete other transactions with you or on your behalf, improve our service, improve your experience on the Website, protect us against fraud or theft, and for marketing purposes.
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information for marketing purposes in the following ways: (i) whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the Website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes; (ii) if you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link that appears on promotional emails or contact us via email at: email@example.com.
For your security we do not store your payment details. To collect payment from you we collect your payment information, which may comprise the credit or debit card’s number, the holder’s name and CVV and only transfer them to our authorized payment providers.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
